The Leather Bottle - your home away from home

Built in 1629, during the reign of Charles I, this attractive half-timbered inn got its name when a leather bottle containing gold sovereigns was found here in 1720.

Today, it is a charming old pub, with rooms and dining that offers clean, comfortable and competitively priced accommodation.

With parking for 40-plus cars, we are ideally situated to meet your needs, be it a weekend break, a business stopover, or a private function.

Our caring and efficient staff extend a traditional friendly welcome to both leisure and business guests alike. We take pride in helping to make your stay with us a truly home-from-home experience.
